Located in the heart of East Sheen, Working Mums Daycare & Pre-School is a modern, purpose-built nursery offering high-quality care and education for up to 105 children. Open since 2011, we have built a warm, nurturing and well-established community for local families.
Our nursery is home to four dedicated rooms, each carefully designed for a specific age group: Cherubs for babies aged three to fifteen months, Angels for children aged fifteen months to two years, Shooting Starts for children aged two to three, and our preschool room for children aged three to five. Every space is bright, spacious and filled with natural light, creating a warm, stimulating environment where children thrive through play, exploration and discovery.
The setting offers a range of thoughtfully designed features, including a sensory room, a well-equipped preschool classroom, and a beautiful roof garden that gives children daily access to outdoor play and nature in a safe and inspiring space. Our on-site kitchen, run by our dedicated chef, provides freshly prepared, nutritious meals every day, supporting children’s health and wellbeing from the very start.
We are proud to be the only nursery, school or childminding setting in both Richmond and Kingston to have achieved the Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) Award, recognised by our local authority and Mayor Sadiq Khan. Our bespoke curriculum is tailored to every age group and each individual child, and we take a holistic approach to supporting families throughout their early years journey.
Our greatest strength is our team. Many of our practitioners have been with us for several years, including long-standing members of staff who joined in 2011, 2012 and 2018. This continuity allows children to build secure attachments and provides families with a consistent experience throughout their early years journey. We are committed to ongoing professional development and offer ongoing training, mentoring and support to all practitioners, helping them grow in confidence, skills and expertise.
Healthy Early Years London Scheme
Working Mums East Sheen participates in the Healthy Early Years London Scheme to develop and promote healthy eating, oral health, physical activity and exercise as a way of life. Having already received the ‘First Steps’ and ‘Bronze’ awards, our team is actively working towards completing the next levels of accreditation.
Two team members at East Sheen are qualified Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinators (PANCo’s) which involves applying knowledge and skills to lead and support change within the setting, liaising with external Health and Education professionals and providing advice and information for parents and carers
