Mortlake

Working Mums Daycare & Pre-School Centre in Mortlake was established in 1992. Located in a charming single-story converted Edwardian school building, we offer high-quality care and education for up to 76 children, from three months old until they transition to school.

The nursery is organised into two age groups. Our youngest children are based in the Sea Turtles room, from three months to just over two years old, while our Dolphins room supports children aged two to four. Both groups have direct access to their own outdoor gardens, with an additional play and gardening area at the front of the setting. Outdoor learning is a core feature of nursery life, giving children daily opportunities to explore, discover and play in natural surroundings.

We follow a learn-through-play pedagogy, offering a broad and balanced range of learning opportunities that extend from the children’s own interests. Our curriculum supports every child to become a confident, engaged and motivated learner, preparing them for their next steps in education.

Our greatest strength is our team, and we are proud to have a number of long-standing practitioners, some of whom have been part of the setting for over a decade. This consistency provides children and families with a warm, familiar and trusted environment throughout their early years journey.
